Photofacial Skin Rejuvenation - IPL - Fotofacial
PhotoFacial treatments can be done on your face, neck, chest, or any part of your body. We do Photofacial treatments on men and women of all ages from all over the Santa Barbara area. PhotoFacial treatments (photorejuvenation, IPL, BBL, Fotofacial) use pulses of visible light (IPL) that effectively improve facial redness and flushing, rosacea as well as the visible signs of sun damage and aging. PhotoFacial Treatments were developed and first introduced by Board-certified dermatologist, Patrick Bitter Jr. MD as a non invasive method of photorejuvenation to improve the appearance of the skin with no downtime. Photo Facial (IPL) is now the gold standard of non-ablative skin treatments.
Our Santa Barbara Med Spa uses the Lumenis One for IPL treatments. The Lumenis One is the most technologically advanced platform ever developed for aesthetic medicine. The Specific settings are selected for each treatment for optimal results. A series of 3-5 treatments are performed at three week intervals. The benefits of PhotoFacial treatments are consistent, visible improvement in the skin with no downtime, little discomfort and minimal risk. With FotoFacial treatments the embarrassing redness and flushing of rosacea can be greatly reduced and sun damaged, aging skin can be dramatically improved, and age spots can be eliminated.
We also combine fotofacial with Levulan in a procedure called PhotoDynamic Skin Rejuvenation. This is the ideal treatment for moderate to severely sun-damaged skin. If you have pre-cancerous skin lesions (AK's) or if you have had them treated in the past this is an excellent way to improve your skin.
